Amidst growing controversy that AT&T helped to rig this season’s American Idol results, the show wants to make it clear:

Kris Allen is the champion.

Earlier today Fox, Idol producers 19 Entertainment and FremantleMedia issued the following statement:

“Fox and the producers of American Idol are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.”

Kris Allen won American Idol. Up next? A debut album.

AT&T also defended itself:

“Last week, countless parties were held in homes, bars, and other public places across America to watch the American Idol finale. In Arkansas, a few local AT&T employees were invited to attend two local watch parties organized by the community. Caught up in the enthusiasm of rooting for their hometown contestant, they brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested.

“Going forward, we will make sure our employees understand our sponsorship celebrates the competition, not individual contestants. That said, it’s quite a leap to suggest that a few individuals could have impacted the final results.”

In the new issue of Cosmopolitan, Lauren Conrad describes how she finished her last day of shooting for The Hills, and if you’re a fan of the series, it should come as no surprise that the emotional LC cried as she said her goodbyes.

But the tears have dried, and she’s ready for a fresh start.

“I’ve always had another season to look forward to, but now life is a little more unplanned,” the lovable 23-year-old says. “It’s really exciting.”

The star, whose last episode of The Hills airs Sunday, says the awkward talk she had with former BFF Heidi Montag only told viewers half the story.

According to Conrad, the producers of the show kept pushing her to meet up with Montag throughout the fifth season, knowing it would be her last.

“I’m trying to move on, but they won’t let me,” Lauren Conrad said.

“What they didn’t get is that I didn’t want to fight with her anymore. It’s hard to look at somebody who used to be your best friend and say, ‘We can’t be friends. Too much has happened.’ When someone keeps pushing you into the same position, you get upset.”

Now that her reality TV days are over, the often-glamorous star can look forward to more of what she prefers - a more low-key life with beau Kyle Howard.

“I feel sexiest with him when I’m in sweatpants and no makeup,” she says of her boyfriend of about nine months, who stars on the TBS show My Boys.

“They are really good together,” pal Lo Bosworth says. “Sometimes it takes somehow who treats you right to show you there’s something else out there.”

Having insisted that all quotes attributed to her up to this point were false, Katie Price vowed to set the record straight on Jonathan Ross’ talk show.

Well, now the former model - a.k.a. Jordan - has pulled the plug on her big Friday night tell-all with the renowned British TV personality as well.

The interview was supposed to give us the first real glimpse into Katie Price’s perspective on her shocking split from Peter Andre earlier this month.

But the 31-year-old is not yet ready to talk about separating from her husband of three-and-a-half years, with whom she has two young children.

Katie Price remains tight-lipped … for the first time ever.

The famous couple - known for constant bickering - were accused by some of pulling a PR stunt with this supposed breakup, but it looks to be legit.

Andre’s management team declined to comment on reports that he was planning to launch divorce proceedings today. He is said to have met with lawyers and to have rebuffed numerous attempts by Katie Price to reconcile.

In a recent interview with OK!, which may or may not have actually taken place, given her Twitter comments, Price allegedly said of the break-up: “I don’t want us to split up. I love my husband, but I can’t sit around crying.”

“This is a new story and a new chapter in my life.”

Will Ferrell made his way down the red carpet at the premiere of Land of the Lost. The film, which is set to debut in America on June 5, opened to Australian audiences this week.

The movie is a remake of an old TV show. It follows Dr. Frank Marshall (Ferrell) as he navigates around an uncharted land that involves dinosaurs. The cast also includes Anna Friel and Danny McBride.

The movie looks like it is going to be a pretty typical Ferrell vehicle. The trailers have their funny moments, as well as the cheesy jokes that come along with any comedy from this star.

While we aren’t expecting another Anchorman, we are just hoping that we don’t have another Semi-Pro on our hands.
