A few weeks after Kim Kardashian split with Reggie Bush in July, a source told Us Weekly:

“The time away was needed so that they could figure out what their priorities were.”

It’s now clear what those priorities were: each other!

Following days of rumors and photos of the pair together, Kim herself has confirmed that she and Bush are once again an item. But they made up out of love, not because her sister’s marriage to Lamar Odom made Kardashian feel lonely.

“The wedding was beautiful but I wouldn’t say it inspired my getting back together or anything,” she said last night.

After spending the weekend in New Orleans, cheering on the undefeated Saints, Kardashian said of Bush and his team:

“He’s great. New Orleans was great, I’m glad they won. Yeah!”

Similarly, we’re glad Kim and Reggie are together again. We may mock her often, but Bush is known as a great person in the community and these two seem legitimately happy as a couple.

While Jon Gosselin vies for revenge and (and a slew of available young women in the early 20s), estranged wife Kate is trying to win over the public with laughter.

Amid her increasingly bitter war of words with Jon, who is calling her an abusive monster, Kate managed to shoot a sketch for The Jay Leno Show last night.

As part of the “JMZ” series, in which the show mocks the paparazzi (the name is a clear play on TMZ), faux photographers descend on Kate in a parking lot.

Rather than treating them as if they were here douchebag husband, who she wants to keep away from her 24/7, she responds as if they were her eight kids.

After she orders a pap to his room car for disobeying her, one celebrity gossip shooter claims that “she has weird mom powers.” It’s actually kind of funny.

Of course, if Kate ever displayed a sense of humor instead of acting like the painful, grating human being she is, perhaps things would’ve gone differently.

Last night, Alex Rodriguez drove in a pair of runs and snapped an 0-for-29 skid with men on base as the New York Yankees defeated visiting Minnesota, 7-2.

Things are looking up for baseball’s highest-paid player, who didn’t suck in a playoff game for the first time in forever. Does his new girlfriend get the credit?

A day earlier and a few miles away, Kate Hudson was seen donning a wedding dress in Manhattan. Does that mean they are ready to walk down the aisle?

No. She was just doing a photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar.

But Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez are serious about making a life together. Pals say the smitten New York Yankees slugger is ready to make the Bride Wars star his wife, even getting her mom Goldie Hawn involved.

“Alex called Goldie and asked if she and [her partner] Kurt Russell would give their blessing to his asking Kate to marry him,” a friend reports.

“Alex is planning on doing it around New Year’s,” the source adds.

We expect an on-field proposal from A-Rod after the Yankees clinch. But only after they clinch the Division Series, so there are more games left and it’s kind of awkward.

“Usually Kate goes away with her family to Aspen, and Alex thought it would be romantic to do it front of a fireplace while snow was falling outside.”

Already acting like a married couple, A-Rod and Kate brought Ryder, her five-year-old son with rocker ex-husband Chris Robinson, along to look at luxury properties in NYC’s trendy Greenwich Village, SoHo and TriBeCa.

The previous week, Kate played mom to Natasha, 4, and Ella, 17 months, A-Rod’s two daughters with his ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez, as the pair toured six-bedroom homes on the West Coast, where the couple plans to reside this winter.

While Kate’s rep claims rumors that the beauty is engaged and already pregnant are “absolutely not true,” friends still worry she’s moving too quickly.

“She did it with Chris, Owen Wilson and now Alex,” notes an insider. “[Kate’s] a hopeless romantic. She jumps in head first and ignores the red flags.”

Looks like Dr. Conrad Murray could be in real trouble with the law, and it has nothing to do with Michael Jackson and everything to do with child support.

Nenita Malibiran claims Murray, the suspect in the Michael Jackson case, and father of her 10-year-old son, is way behind in child support payments.

Malibiran, who now lives in the Sacramento area, obtained a judgment last month in San Jose, Calif., for ,311.47 from Jackson’s personal doctor.

The judgment was sent to the District Attorney’s office in Las Vegas, Nev., which honors and enforces child support judgments from out of state.

Yesterday, the D.A. went before a hearing master (not a judge), who is supposed to hear the evidence and recommend appropriate action to a judge.

Dr. Conrad Murray was ordered to appear but was a no-show.

The hearing master recommended that a bench warrant be issued against Dr. Murray, who has 10 days from yesterday to come into court and deal with it.

If he doesn’t, the judge will issue a warrant for his arrest - if he’s not facing more serious charges in the death of Michael Jackson prior to that, of course.

Malibiran’s former lawyer, Julie Brown, was quoted as saying that Dr. Murray was “habitually behind” on child support and was always “hiding income.”

It has no bearing here, but Murray is also believed to have knocked up Nicole Alvarez, his current girlfriend, who welcomed a child earlier this year.

Michael Jackson, DJ AM, Patrick Swayze, Farrah Fawcett, David Carradine, Walter Cronkite, Natasha Richardson, Dom DeLuise, Ed McMahon and Billy Mays, all of whom died this year, were resurrected by the Comedy Central cartoon.

With something for (the offending of ) everyone, the episode included Jackson taking possession of little Ike, Mays continuing to pitch products from the beyond and a final destination that … well, we don’t want to give it away.
