Shanna Moakler is really sorry.

During a recent appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, the former beauty pageant queen referred to Khloe Kardashian as a “donkey.”

Tweeted Khloe in response: “Who is shana moakler??? I have no idea who this girl is but I guess she is talking about me. Talk on honey…I can care less LOL.”

We’re shocked by this whole thing. We had no idea anyone watched The Wendy Williams Show!

Moakler actually apologized immediately, Tweeting to Khloe: “You are right. We don’t know each other personally and I apologize for my comment this morning,” adding in a statement: “I feel really bad. I shouldn’t have said it.”

But is this feud really over?

Shanna mixed it up with Kim Kardashian in July 2008 because she thought Kim slept with her ex-husband, Travis Barker. It was a silly accusation, of course.

Barker is way too pale for Kim’s taste.

Man. Either Kristin Cavallari really wants to stick it to Audrina Patridge, or The Hills producers are really working overtime to stir up the contrived drama we love.

The fake relationship of Kristin and Justin-Bobby Brescia has been a primary focal point this season. Justin-Bobby, of course, is Audrina Patridge’s dirtbag ex.

She’s moved on now, though. To Tal Cooperman, who also dated Audrina.

“It’s brand new. They’re having a lot of fun enjoying getting to know each other better,” says a source of Kristin and Tal, co-owner of DCMA Collective clothing.

“It’s not for the show. They hit it off and have been hanging out off-camera.”

All together now: Yeah, right!

Kristin Cavallari clearly has a type: Guys who have once hit it with Audrina Patridge, who MTV conveniently gives her the phone numbers of and pays her to pursue.

According to sources, Cooperman and Cavallari enjoyed a date night Thursday in Los Angeles, where they were spotted partying at an ESPN bash. Fun.

They also shared a sushi dinner at Nobu and kissing at West Hollywood hotspot Voyeur, where we’re sure they tried to keep an extremely low profile.

“[Kristin Cavallari and Tal Cooperman] were making out on one of the club’s VIP stages after midnight,” says a clubgoer. “They were all over each other.”

The duo made sure to keep things under wraps (yeah, right, again!)  by leaving the club separately … but only after sealing their night with a kiss. HOT.

We wish this new couple all the best. Although we don’t expect it will last that long. Call us crazy. Give it a few weeks and she’ll be with Corey Bohan.

The CBS producer accused of trying to extort million from Late Show host David Letterman filed a motion seeking dismissal of all charges against him.

Attorney Gerald Shargel, who represents Robert Joel “Joe” Halderman, challenged the constitutionality of the laws in question in a 34-page document.

Judge Charles Solomon said he will rule on the motion at the next hearing on January 19. Prosecutors have until December 15 to respond to the motion.

Halderman is accused of telling Letterman in September that he would disclose the funnyman’s sexual dalliances with female staffers unless he paid up.

The 27-year CBS veteran, a producer for the network’s 48 Hours, was charged with first-degree attempted grand larceny and suspended from his job.

He pleaded not guilty, but prosecutors say evidence is “compelling” that he was trying to “destroy” Letterman’s reputation and “humiliate his family.”

Shargel, however, said that Joe Halderman is the father of two children, ages 11 and 18, has an “impeccable reputation” and denies any extortion plot.

Can Joe Halderman really explain his way out of this one?

“There was no extortion,” Shargel said Tuesday. “This was a commercial transaction, nothing more. [Letterman’s] celebrity is why we are here today.”

Many expected Halderman, who is believed to have financial problems that may have fueled the incident, would seek a prompt plea bargain in the case.

But his attorney said today there will be “no compromise.”

Letterman’s attorney, Daniel Horowitz, acknowledged as much, saying “this case will proceed to trial” and that Letterman “is prepared to testify.”

Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau said Letterman gave Joe Halderman a million check and Halderman deposited the money into a Connecticut bank account the day before he was arrested and released on 0,000 bail.

The defendant’s explanation? Halderman’s attempt to sell the Late Show host a screenplay about Letterman’s own sexual liaisons was a just business.

Not sure how if one will hold water. But his attorney says Joe Halderman should be applauded, not punished, for exposing Letterman’s various workplace affairs, which he says “amounted to actionable sexual harassment.”

Letterman’s former personal assistant, Stephanie Birkitt, had a long-running sexual relationship with the host, and later lived with Halderman.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

Now, though, he’s facing a challenge more daunting than any fight the Boston Celtics ever put up on the court of play: the former Lakers center has been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia.

The 62-year old was informed of his disease a year ago, following bouts of hot flashes and sweats. He’s expected to enjoy a regular life span.

“When the doctor told me I had cancer, I was scared,” said Abdul-Jabbar. “My grandfather and my uncle both died from colorectal cancer, my dad almost died from it and I have the gene for it. It’s in my family, so I thought this was something else along those lines, but it’s not.”

Abdul-Jabbar, a father of five, has guarded his privacy over the years.

But he went public this week in order to send an important message:

“I want to help people who are confronted with this type of situation, just to let them know it doesn’t have to be a death sentence.”

Here’s a photo op for the ages: Levi Johnston, former Bristol Palin “fiance” turned Playgirl model, and Jon Gosselin, former reality star, in NYC’s Times Square.

The occasion? The First Annual Douche Awards. They both cleaned up!

Just kidding, although they would have if it were a real event. Levi and Jon were set to appear on a panel for the syndicated entertainment show The Insider.

That’s pretty much what Jon does every day of his life, but for Levi, who’s been working out like a madman for his upcoming nude photo shoot, it was new.

Both of these guys have been assailed by their baby mamas lately.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who’s actually Levi’s baby mama’s mama, said Johnston has a “desperate need for attention” for posing in Playgirl next month.

He recently filed for joint custody of son Tripp, which is sure to sit well with the Palins. He doesn’t seem scared of the former Alaska chief executive, though.

Jon’s estranged wife Kate has also slammed him for his antics.

Repeatedly. That banshee separated from the father of her eight children earlier this year, sending him into the greatest midlife crisis in American history.
