We were afraid the baby shower held in honor of Kourtney Kardashian and her publicity-seeking pregnancy wouldn’t go off well.

But a source that attended the event yesterday told People:

“It was a huge success.”

We can all breathe a little easier now.

The party was held at the Kardashian estate in Los Angeles, as female members of the family were joined by friends such as socialite Brittny Gastineau and comedian Heather McDonald.

Kourtney received numerous gifts from companies that donated items in order to get their names into gossip blogs. There were chocolate-covered strawberries from Berry Elegance; and a Le Sport Sac weekender bag for all guests.

We wish we could have avoided this nauseating story, but people out there somehow care: over three million of you tuned in to Khloe Kardashian’s E! wedding special last week. That makes us so sad.

When it comes to the bible, Carrie Prejean is like a woman at a buffet line.

She just picks and chooses whatever satisfies her cravings… for attention!

In an interview with Christianity Today, the disgraced beauty queen and spawn of Satan spoke on her breasts implants. She said she’s sure God is totally cool with them because:

“I don’t see anywhere in the Bible where it says you shouldn’t get breast implants.”

A majority of Americans are against gay marriage. Fox News is the highest-rated cable news network, by far. Still, Carrie Prejean somehow claims she’s in the persecuted minority.

Fair point. There’s no specific citation in the Bible that condemns breast implants. But isn’t vanity one of the seven sins?

There’s also this passage from Thessalonians 4:3-5, which reads:

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.

Care to comment on that one, Ms. Multiple Sex Tapes?

Now Shayne Lamas has been busted for DUI. Girl cannot get a break.

The ditzy blonde star of Leave It to Lamas was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI charges just after 1 a.m. Saturday in Venice, Calif., according to E! News.

After the fact, Shayne Lamas issued the following statement:

“Early Saturday morning, after consuming one drink, I willingly drove through a mandatory check point on my way home with complete confidence of passing.”

Leave it to Shayne Lamas to drive drunk.

“However, the breathalyzer indicated that I was over the legal limit of blood alcohol content and was arrested. I take full responsibility for my lack of judgment.”

“I strive to be a role model for friends, family and fans and have never nor will ever condone drinking and driving. I apologize for all those I have disappointed.”

Shayne was released on bail and is due back in court December 9 for the misdemeanor charge. She also faces two misdemeanor counts of being a PR whore.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick, her agent and boyfriend of several months, may not be engaged yet, despite the marriage rumors that persistently pop up.

But they certainly look the part of the family unit.

The couple and Britney’s two sons, Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline, looked happy as can be as they strolled through a park on Saturday.

It was a tender family moment … just Britney Spears, Jason Trawick, her two sons and massive amounts of security following them around Sydney, Australia.

Still, life is good for Britney and family …
