Rihanna turns 22 today. What a difference a year makes!

The singer will ring in her birthday with a very “private and intimate” bash thrown for her by her boyfriend, L.A. Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp, according to reports.

Last year, a carnival-themed 21st birthday bash for her in NYC was canceled due to the craziness surrounding the attack she suffered at the hands of Chris Brown.

This year, with that in mind:

“(Matt) really wanted to do something nice for Rihanna as she didn’t have much of a 21st birthday last year,” says an E! News source. Nice guy, that Matt Kemp.

The party, which was going to be a surprise until she caught on, will be a low-key night with “close friends, Jamaican food, a photo booth, dancing and cake.”

A steamy appearance by tennis champion Rafael Nadal in a new music video by Shakira has sparked rumors that the hotties may be more than just friends.

It looks like that’s all we’re talking about, though: rumors.

Last week, the pair, who heat up the video for her song “Gypsy,” premiering in April, was spotted sharing a cozy meal at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain.

“They were giggling. They’re very flirty,” a source says of the music video shoot.

“They had a lot of chemistry while they were filming, and after as well.”

In the “Gypsy” video, the 33-year-old Colombian singer and the 23-year-old Spanish athlete roll around, hold hands, embraces, and look smoldering.

But don’t get any ideas.

Shakira is quasi-engaged to Antonio de la Rua, the son of former Argentine president Fernando de la Rúa. While she is reluctant to wed, they have been together nine years and, she says, have been totally monogamous. Nine years!

Nadal, meanwhile, is dating his high school sweetheart, Maria Francisca Perello, and his rep denied a romantic relationship between the “good friends.”

Friends may be all they are, but Shakira has still seen Rafael Nadal shirtless up close and in the flesh. For that she is likely the envy of many ladies.

Brothers & Sisters star Dave Annable is known for his big family on the ABC series. Now it looks like he just added another member to his family in real life!

Dave and Odette Yustman, also an actress, are engaged to be married. The Brothers & Sisters cast member, 30, proposed last weekend in Santa Barbara.

The couple has been dating for a year-and-a-half. She is 24. They are planning a wedding this year – although no date has been set. Congratulations, guys!

This is pretty messed up.

The guy Audrina Patridge got a permanent restraining order against for stalking her last year was arrested Friday for doing so again … at her house.

Someone inside The Hills star’s house called 911 after Zachary Loring allegedly started pounding on her front door and kept ringing the doorbell. Scary.

Audrina Patridge was, in fact, home at the time of the incident, and Loring was in possession of a large knife when he was arrested. Even scarier.

Audrina Patridge has had trouble with this guy before.

Police showed up and arrested Zachary Loring, who was booked for felony stalking and misdemeanor vandalism and being held on 0,000 bail.

Back in September, Audrina claimed Loring kept showing up and giving her creepy poems and drawings, including one of a woman being hanged.

Dude, get a life. And some dating advice. That’s not the way to make her love you. When like roses and chocolate, not knives and death drawings.
