She’s the clear season nine favorite on American Idol, but Crystal Bowersox has never looked comfortable on stage.

The folksy singer admitted many months ago that she had never watched an episode of Idol, and she’s been outwardly shaken up when certain contestants - such as Lilly Scott and Katie Stevens - were eliminated this year.

Therefore, it didn’t come as a major shock this week when a report leaked out that said Bowersox was close to quitting the competition, but was convinced to stay by Ryan Seacrest.

On Facebook yesterday, Crystal confirmed this rumor, writing: We all have moments of doubt. As much as I miss my kid, the big picture is this: im doing this for him and my fans. I’m having the time of my life!

Sounds like Bowersox will be sticking around - and thank goodness for that.

On the most lackluster season to date, we don’t even want to imagine tuning in to Idol each week and not at least having Crystal to look forward to.

Taylor Swift took to the Staples Center stage on Thursday night and sang a number of her hit singles.

That would have been enough for the thousands of fans in attendance, of course. But the crowd - and Taylor herself - got a surprise when Katy Perry popped out and sung “Hot N’ Cold” with the young Grammy Award-winner.

Reports that Larry King and Shawn Southwick are having second thoughts about divorcing surfaced on Friday, as did a story about them seeking therapy.

Is there a chance this troubled marriage could still be saved?

Sources are saying that Shawn Southwick, who accuses Larry King of cheating with Shannon Engemann, her sister, remains open to patching things up.

One caveat: She’s convinced Larry’s still boning Shannon.

Shawn Southwick’s little sister has denied doing King. Shawn herself is accused of having an affair with their two kids’ Little League coach Hector Penate.

That said, they appeared to be on good terms at their sons’ baseball game and reportedly agreed to meet together with a marriage counselor on Monday.

Neither side has withdrawn divorce papers, however, and conflicting reports suggest that the marriage, for which there is no prenup in place, is kaput.

Any sitdown would be part of an effort to maintain stability for their two kids, ages 11 and 9, during a divorce, sources told the New York Daily News.

“I believe there is very little chance for reconciliation,” King’s lawyer Dennis Wasser said. “My most current information is the divorce is proceeding.”

“People either go to reconciliation sessions to save their marriage or just to make sure their actions are in the best interest of the children,” he says.

“If I were a betting man, it’s for the latter.”

King’s spokesman, Howard Rubenstein, added this, however: “Don’t assume anything. All you can presume is that his major interest is his children.”

A friend says neither outcome would surprise him: “Their whole marriage is one big spat. They’re both drama queens. They break up to make up.”

“Shawn has been important in keeping Larry alive. She helped him lose weight and quit smoking.” Well, can his previous six wives can say that?

A few days before Glee airs an hour dedicated to Madonna, featuring the cast performing a number of Material Girl singles, the iconic singer sat down for a sneak peek at the episode.

What did she think?

“I thought the Madonna episode of Glee was brilliant on every level. The dialogue and the entire script was genius. I completely appreciated the layers of irony,” she said in a statement.

Adding that she likes “all the messages about the boys being respectful to girls,” Madonna continued:

“The entire cast was amazing. They’re all so talented. I especially loved Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) and Kurt Hummel’s (Chris Colfer) characters. [Show creator] Ryan Murphy did a great job bringing all these elements together.

[Daughter] Lola loved the show too. I wish I went to a high school like that…If only.”

After hearing that the FBI investigated her for ordering a hit on Sandra Bullock, we can officially say Michelle “Bombshell” McGee is in a class by herself.

Not a good class, either. As if cheating, stripping, porn, and Nazi pics weren’t enough, this confirms she’s one of the shadiest people we’ve ever covered.

Luckily, she wasn’t tied to any actual wrongdoing in this case. But the fact that it was even investigated is crazy enough, and given her reputation …

The FBI recently investigated a tip about a murder plot against Sandra Bullock that was allegedly arranged by the heavily-inked Jesse James’ mistress.

Law enforcement sources say roughly two weeks ago, McGee’s ex-husband, Shane Modica, reported that he received a call from some man in Missouri.

Michelle McGee didn’t actually try to have Sandra Bullock popped, but when you look and act like she does, officials probably have to investigate every possible lead.

The caller claimed Bombshell wanted to put a hit on both Modica and Bullock … and that he personally was the one who was supposed to do the job.

Modica reported the caller claimed he received the “order” for the killings before Bombshell’s role in the Jesse James cheating scandal came to light.

The local FBI office contacted the local sheriff’s office, as well as notified the FBI in Los Angeles, and ultimately concluded the threat was “not credible.”

Phew. That’s fortunate. We’ve seen Michelle McGee nude, strapped with ammo and riding a bomb, but good to hear she’s not an actual murderer.
