Susan Boyle to Release Autobiography

Books are all the rage in Hollywood; some dumb, some REALLY dumb, and at least one hopefully inspiring.

Earlier today, we announced that the Kardashian sisters are planning a relationship-themed tome. Insert your own joke now.

Kelly LeBrock, the ex-wife of shady actor Steven Seagal, also plans to exploit her husband’s alleged seedy side by penning a biography about the father of her three kids. How charming.

But Susan Boyle is here to rescue us from all this inappropriate madness. She’ll tell her own story in The Woman I was Born to Be, a true autobiography due this fall.

”I think I’ve grown up a lot in the last year, become more of a lady, and I’m not so frightened anymore,” she said, adding:

“I’m writing this book to try to show that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, and I hope it will benefit other people. My story demonstrates that you shouldn’t just look at the label, you should look at the whole person, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually, and I hope that telling it will show that dreams are not impossible, if you’ve got courage and a willingness to go on no matter what the circumstances.”

Amen, SuBo! Will you purchase her self-written tale?

Cameron Douglas Gets Five Years in Prison

Michael Douglas’ son Cameron, who was nabbed last year in a major drug dealing operation, was sentenced to five years in prison this afternoon in NYC.

Cameron Douglas, along with his father and his mother Diandra, was present in federal court in Manhattan today when the judge fired off the sentence.

Michael asked for leniency for his son … and didn’t really get it.

Along with the prison time, Cameron was ordered to pay ,000 in fines and must serve 450 hours of community service as a result of his guilty plea.

Once he’s out of jail Cameron is also required to spend an additional five years in a supervised release program. They certainly didn’t go easy on him.

Last year, Cameron Douglas was caught in a federal sting operation with large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine with intent to distribute.

Hopefully prison straightens this guy out.

Kate Gosselin: Depressed, Defeated By Judges

Kate Gosselin turned in an awful performance last night on Dancing with the Stars. That’s nothing new, but the judges were particularly harsh, she felt.

She came in confident but now her “spirits are down” after the judges ripped her Foxtrot to shreds - her score of 15 was the night’s lowest - afterward.

Judge Bruno Tonioli told Tony Dovolani he’d have been better off dancing with “a coat hanger.” Jon Gosselin would likely prefer to have married one.

Kate told ET that the judges’ remarks definitely got to her.

“I had fun, and they didn’t seem to notice,” she said. “It’s starting to creep in a little bit. Tonight, I was trying to hold back some horrible emotions.”

Those smiles faded fast.

Defeated, she adds: “Probably not on live TV should I be standing there crying in front of the judges … It’s getting difficult. I’m depressed, sort of.”

Tony Dovolani jokingly agreed, saying he’d had “fun… up until the judges’ part.”

Was there anything at all in the judges’ remarks Kate can take as encouragement? “Carrie Ann [Inaba] said there was a teeny bit of gracefulness.”

Gotta start somewhere. Follow the jump to see Kate’s awfulness in its entirety …

Are judges too mean or just honest? Do you hope Kate stays or goes tonight? Who are you rooting for on Dancing with the Stars this season?

Ian Somerhalder in GQ: 13-Year Old Girls Love Me!

Though he enjoyed a steady gig on Lost during the show’s initial, hugely popular first season, Ian Somerhalder didn’t land any magazine features until the fall of 2009.

That’s when The Vampire Diaries premiered on The CW and Somerhalder found himself the subject of cat calls and screams typically reserved for Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson.

“The decibel level at which a 13-year-old can explain how much she loves you - it’s the coolest thing ever,” the actor says in the latest issue of GQ.

Why all the excitement over this 32-year old actor? The photos below tell you all you need to know:
