Is there a new man in Jennifer Aniston’s life?

As in an actual new man, not just co-stars she’s supposedly friends with benefits with (Gerard Butler, Bradley Cooper) or ex-husbands she’s sneaking around with?

That’s the rumor, and the new guy is actor Christopher Gartin, with whom she was spotted having dinner last week at her favorite hangout, the Sunset Tower Hotel.

If it’s true, the man doesn’t kiss and tell.

“No comment,” he said when asked about their status. Either way, Jennifer didn’t seem too happy to see the paparazzi Thursday night as they tried to leave:

As you can see, the actress ducked and covered her face when photographers caught him driving her home after their dinner together, although who knows why.

Chris Gartin seems like a good guy.

He is 42, has dozens of credits to his name, hails from New York and was previously married to an event planner. Word is that Jen’s BFF Courteney Cox set them up.

Think this is for real Think they’re a good match? How will he react to this week’s tabloid covers proclaiming that she’s having a baby? We can only wait and see.

Tony Romo he’s not. But Eric Johnson isn’t too shabby himself.

“He’s one of the nicest guys around,” says an NFL insider who has worked with the ex-San Francisco 49ers player and current Jessica Simpson plaything.

The source notes, later stating the obvious a bit by adding, “I’m surprised he is dating Jessica Simpson. She is such a big star and he is so reserved.”

The guy also went to Yale … go figure!

Johnson, who also played briefly for the New Orleans Saints, definitely has experience with the limelight, however, having excelled in sports all his life.

Former NFL star Eric Johnson couldn’t catch on with a pro team for that long … but he’s got quite a catch in Jessica Simpson. Here’s hoping he doesn’t fumble it away.

The 6′ 3″ Needham, Mass., native broke 11 school records while playing wide receiver for Yale University. He’s also a former academic All-American.

Called “The Big Nerd” by Yale friends, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, “He’s very smart, and one of the most down-to-earth athletes I know.”

Simpson began dating Johnson in May after friends introduced them. He’s currently separated from his wife, Keri, who filed for divorce earlier this year.

“He is the polar opposite of what you think of when you say ‘player,’ ” says the source who knows him well. “When I met him, he was driving a Prius.”

Don’t expect Britney Spears’ kids to follow in her footsteps.

If the pop star has her way, she tells Cosmopolitan while showing off pelvic tattoos, her midriff and some cleavage, they’ll live a much more low-key life.

It’s hard to blame her for wanting to protect Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3, who she was recently accused of abusing, after all she’s been through.

“I’m on the cover of Cosmo’s August issue. So excited! What do you all think? - Brit” Tweeted Spears, who recently brought back the crazy in a big way.

On her children seeking fame of their own: “If my sons told me they wanted to be in the entertainment business, I’d lock them in their rooms until they turned 30.”

On having the dreaded sex chat with Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline: “I’m dreading the moment when my sons ask me how babies are made.”

On life as a mom: “Things are pretty quiet. I’ve been spending a lot of time at home with my boys. They just started karate class, which is super cute!”

Sounds like the most super boring interview ever, but perhaps that’s a good thing as opposed to sparking controversy. Hey, she could be Lindsay Lohan.

Least fun Levi Johnston article ever.

Looks like he isn’t just getting past his differences - and reportedly getting back together - with Bristol Palin - he’s also hoping to make amends with her mom.

“Last year, after Bristol and I broke up, I was unhappy and a little angry,” admitted Levi in a statement to People, regarding his ongoing feud with the family.

“Unfortunately, against my better judgment, I publicly said things about the Palins that were not completely true. I have already privately apologized to Todd and Sarah.”

“Since my statements were public, I owe it to the Palins to publicly apologize.”

“So to the Palin family in general, and to Sarah Palin in particular, please accept my regrets and forgive my youthful indiscretion. I hope one day to restore your trust.”

MANNING UP: You gotta give Levi Johnston is due.

Bristol Palin added her own statement: “Part of co-parenting is creating healthy, honest relationships between parents. Tripp one day needs to know the truth and needs to know that even if a mistake is made the honorable thing to do is to own up to it.”

Johnston and the former V.P. candidate had been engaged in a war of words, with the 20-year-old accusing Palin of complaining about her job as governor of Alaska and claiming “there was a lot of talk of divorce” in the Palin household.

Bristol and Levi were also fighting for custody of Tripp, and Sarah Palin even went so far as to speak out against the “malicious” remarks he made (and bash the Levi Johnston nude Playgirl spread) during public appearances of her own.

But Bristol, who recently made her acting debut on ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, said they want to turn “a new page here as co-parents … and [put] aside the past because doing so is in [our son] Tripp’s best interest.”
