Miley Cyrus and Taylor Momsen may pretend as if they’re especially mature 16 and 17-year olds, but at the end of the day, it’s clear: they’re just like any two feuding teenage girls.

It all started a couple weeks ago, when the Gossip Girl actress and The Pretty Reckless frontwoman implied that Miley was part of “Disney bubblegum shit” taking over the airwaves and said she was sick of comparisons between the pair.

In response to those comments, a source tells Heat magazine “Miley is furious.” He added:

“She thought Taylor was pretty cool until this happened, which has left her totally confused. Taylor is so obviously desperate for fame. I mean, she’s traipsing around town in her underwear, or is that for the love of the music too?”

Wait… did someone close to Miley Cyrus just accuse another artist of dressing scantily in order to make headlines? Excuse us while we laugh hysterically over such hypocrisy….

Perhaps Miley Cyrus and Taylor Momsen should both put clothes on and shut up.

This insider believes “Miley has always had a lot of talent, and Taylor knows it. Taylor still sees her as a threat, which she is, although they’re hardly in the same league.”

It’s difficult to take a side in this battle of underdressed, oversexed, self-centered singers. But Miley has spoken out often over the last year, expressing her disdain for musicals, vampires and other pop culture favorites. Her defenders always say to leave the girl alone, she’s allowed to speak her mind.

The now-infamous Mel Gibson tapes are as shocking as anything we’ve heard … well, ever. But the mystery surrounding them has become a separate and equally bizarre component in the actor’s custody fight with Oksana Grigorieva.

There may finally be an answer to how Gibson’s insane rants against Grigorieva were leaked online, something Oksana has denied being responsible for.

Several sources close to the case say Oksana’s younger sister, Natalie Grigorieva, is suspected of being Radar Online’s mystery Mel Gibson tape source.

Natalie is being investigated by authorities.

“I suspect if the authorities look at the sister, they’ll find a wire transfer or a check to her from [Radar],” a source said. “She and Oksana are very close.”

Another source claims that Oksana’s sister was even involved in shopping the tapes to media outlets before making the sale to the celebrity gossip site.

Did Oksana’s sister leak the tapes?

“All the tabloids said no to the deal because they were asked to purchase the [Mel Gibson tapes] before even listening to them,” another source said.

If Natalie Grigorieva is found to have brokered a deal at the behest of her sister, it’s possible a judge could find the Russian singer in contempt of court.

Oksana Grigorieva, under investigation herself for extortion, also could face charges based on text messages and e-mails she sent to the actor.

In a text message obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Oksana allegedly wrote Mel that she taped him because “you broke your agreement with me.”

The two parties, who share an eight-month-old daughter, had agreed on a million deal over custody and keeping all “evidence” confidential.

But Oksana left it on the table because, she said, it gave Gibson unsupervised visits with their child, and she feared for Lucia’s safety around Mel.

Kate Gosselin and her brood are currently Alaska to film TLC’s Kate Plus 8. Rumor has it they’ve got a camping trip planned up north with the most famous Alaskan!

Sarah Palin will be making a guest appearance, according to reports.

The Gosselins were spotted in Anchorage Thursday and Friday. The kids had fun, but it’s all about the Kate Plus 8 ratings - and two pop culture phenoms colliding.

The Dancing With the Stars alum is slated to meet with former Governor Sarah Palin for a camping excursion that will be shown on the series. Words fail us now.

During their stay, the Pennsylvanians will also be receiving a hands-on natural history lesson from Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, and Sarah’s brother, Chuck Jr.

Both Chucks are school teachers in America’s 49th state.

“She’s excited because it will be fun and educational for the children. Sarah will even teach Kate how to avoid bears!” the source told In Touch about Palin.

Valuable life lessons for the kiddos, for sure. We just hope they don’t bring in Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin to offer tips on how to avoid teen pregnancy.

Palin’s representatives referred reporters to TLC when contacted about the In Touch report, while the network subsequently stated that it had no comment.

While not officially confirmed her appearance would make some sense, given that it offers a nice tie-in with Sarah Palin’s Alaska, which TLC landed in March.

The eight-episode documentary will feature the former V.P. candidate spotlighting various facets of Alaskan life, and is being produced by Mark Burnett.

We eagerly await the announcement of a Palin-Gosselin 2012 ticket.

It might look like all fun, games, amazing dinners and contrived drama, but filming a reality show like The Bachelorette can be tough. Just ask Ali Fedotowsky.

“I was always hungry!” she tells OK! about how she gained 10 pounds on the show (not that anyone knew). “I didn’t think much of it, but everyone noticed.”

We doubt it. We’ve seen no Bachelorette spoilers about Ali’s alleged weight gain. If anything, an extra few pounds look good on her. But it’s all good either way.

How did she change her eating habits when she got back home?

“I am good during the week, and one day I pig out,” Ali says. “But I don’t cook! I am learning a little bit. I can be hard to eat healthy when you don’t cook.”

“I love egg white omelets because I can actually cook the egg whites myself! I also go to the grocery store, and I will buy the ready-made grilled chicken.”
