The U2 frontman owns 2.3 percent of Facebook shares, through his investment group, Elevation Partners.

By 4 PM, the investment will be worth an estimated $1.5 billion…courtesy of Mark Zuckerberg and company.

Elevation paid $90 million for the shares in 2009, before Facebook decided to go public earlier this year.

Bono will make more on the Facebook IPO than in his entire 30+year music career!

Not bad for a $90 million investment!

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in his signature hoodie, just rang the NASDAQ bell … opening a trading day in which the 28-year-old is expected to make more than $25 BILLION DOLLARS!!

Zuckerberg didn’t travel to NYC’s Times Square for the company’s big day. Instead, he did it unconventionally like you’d expect a hacker would.

He opened the bell remotely from the company’s Menlo Park Headquarters!

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Facebook stock officially begins trading today — the largest Internet IPO in history.

The stock price will debut at $38 dollars per share at 11 AM.

Van Halen’s 2012 reunion has hit a snag as the band has pulled the plug on all shows scheduled after a gig in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 26…without explanation.

The tour will continue as regularly scheduled through the group’s June 26 show at the New Orleans Arena, but all of the planned dates from July 7 through Sept. 25 have been scrapped, including shows in Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland, Salt Lake City and El Paso.

Promoters have announced the cancellations to local media outlets, but Van Halen has yet to offer an official statement or explanation for the postponement

Reports suggest the bandmates aren’t getting along, with sources saying that Eddie Van Halen, his son Wolfgang and brother Alex and singer David Lee Roth “hate each other,” adding, “The band is arguing like mad. They are fighting.”

The tour is being promoted by Live Nation, whose reps had no comment.

Actress and model Jenny McCarthy is baring it all again for Playboy one more time as she prepares to celebrate her 40th birthday in November…nearly 20 years after she made her first Playboy appearance in 1993.

Jenny kicked off her career with a Playboy spread in 1993 and went on to become that year’s Playmate of the Year.

She had admitted in 2009 that she would like one more chance to pose naked for Playboy before she turned 40.

“I would absolutely pose for Playboy. I would be so flattered if they asked me. It’s probably not going to happen but I think I want to do it again.”

Seems like Playboy boss Hugh Hefner was listening and McCarthy will now appear in the buff in the July 2012 issue, which will likely hit newsstands in June.

The same issue will also contain an explosive new interview with Charlie Sheen, who played the blonde star’s boyfriend on the hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men”.
