Jason Kidd, 39, was lucky to escape alive from his 2010 Cadillac Escalade after his scary late-night wreck in the Hamptons on July 15.

The hood was peeled back from the Escalade’s frame, with the windshield shattered and a driver’s side mirror dangling limply.

The right front tire sat flat on the ground beneath a snarl of twisted metal.

Kidd, who told cops that he “had a few drinks” before the wreck, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following the crash.

“That’s really his car? Wow,” said one NYPD vet who has seen his fair share of car accidents.

“I can’t believe Jason Kidd actually survived that. When I see an accident that bad, I expect at least serious injury, if not death.”

In the hours leading up to the crash, Kidd was partying at a club in Southampton and appeared so drunk, he had to be carried out of the place.

After the crash, Kidd's lawyer released a statement saying, "Jason has pleaded not guilty to a DWI charge and awaits further court proceedings."

Kidd was later treated and released for minor injuries at Southampton Hospital.
