After months of speculation, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star has officially called it quits with his longtime girlfriend, French actress Vanessa Paradis.

Depp’s spokeswoman confirmed the breakup of the relationship that spanned 14 years...

“Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children.”

Depp, 48, and Paradis, 39, have two children together but were never married. The two met in 1998 and moved in together shortly after that. They made their home in Plan-de-la-Tour in the south of France, where they stayed for several years.

But over the last few years they often lived in different homes - Depp in Hollywood, Paradis in France.
