The UK’s Daily Mirror reports that former Beatle Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono are furious after a new book they helped with asserts that John Lennon wanted a gay relationship with Macca.

The claim appears in the book John Lennon: The Life. It was written by ‘respected’ Beatles author Philip Norman.

Both Yoko and Paul took part in interviews for the book.

After the claim surfaced, Yoko and Macca reportedly distanced themselves from it and Yoko has withdrawn her endorsement.

A ‘friend’ told the rag, “Both Sir Paul and Yoko are extremely angry and upset.”
