NBA star Richard Jefferson was set to marry fiancee Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols but apparently “changed his mind” less than 12 hours before their lavish wedding.

No one told the paparazzi or fans, or more importantly the guests who began showing up in Manhattan to witness the star’s nuptials. Always a classy move.

Everything was going according to plan as yet another beautiful ( million) celebrity wedding was about to take place. But the groom had other ideas.

Richard Jefferson actually left Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols alone at the altar.

The New York Post reports that Jefferson had “cold feet” last week. Nichols reportedly stayed at the posh Mandarin Oriental Hotel were the wedding was supposed to be held anyway and upgraded to a suite on the 45th floor. Might as well.

The new member of the San Antonio Spurs and former New Jersey Nets star was recently featured in Sports Illustrated along with the former Nets dancer:
