Tom Cruise reunited with his daughter, Suri, today in NYC for the first time since Katie Holmes filed for divorce.

The visit comes just over two weeks after the 33-year-old Holmes blindsided Tom by filing for divorce and asking for sole custody of Suri.

Cruise, who turned 50 on July 3, wrapped up his latest movie shoot and flew to New York City, where sources say he'll be spending several days with his 6-year-old daughter.

We also hear that Tom will have no contact with Katie, who have not seen each other in person since the divorce announcement.

Suri will be picked up and taken back with the help of intermediaries.

Sources added that Cruise and Holmes will work together to make sure their hand-offs go smoothly.

“They both know they are going to have to make decisions together regarding Suri for many, many years...and they know she loves both her parents.”
